> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-06-11 19:07 UTC · Category: Entertainment

## Executive Summary
Former Disney star Bridgit Mendler has disavowed a surprise EP released under her name on streaming platforms.

## Intelligence Brief
A collection of songs appeared on streaming services earlier this month attributed to Bridgit Mendler. The release prompted widespread confusion among fans and listeners familiar with the performer's transition away from the entertainment industry.

Coverage from The Hollywood Reporter, Yahoo, and Just Jared notes that Mendler explicitly stated the drop was not her work. Digital Music News highlights the incident as a point of scrutiny regarding Spotify's artist profile protection protocols and authentication measures.

Future reports will track whether the unauthorized content is removed from streaming libraries. The status of the investigation into how the material was uploaded remains unspecified.
