The brief

Multiple oil refineries and petrochemical facilities across Russia and occupied Crimea have been struck by drones. Key sites affected include facilities in Tatarstan, Samara, and the Krasnodar Krai region, specifically the Afipsky and Kuibyshev refineries.

Reports also indicate fires at power plants and chemical factories. Coverage from outlets including The Moscow Times, Reuters, Kyiv Post, and Ukrainska Pravda emphasizes the scale of the drone deployment, with some sources citing a total of 231 drones.

Attention remains on the operational status of the damaged energy infrastructure. While the Kuibyshev refinery has halted operations, the full extent of damage to other facilities and the potential impact on regional energy supplies are subjects for further reporting.
