## Executive Summary
Recent White House responses to hantavirus and Ebola outbreaks are drawing comparisons and questions regarding past COVID-19 policy criticisms.

## Intelligence Brief
Current outbreaks of hantavirus and Ebola have prompted the White House to implement quarantine measures and travel bans. These actions have drawn scrutiny from health experts who noted a contrast between these measures and previous criticisms directed at COVID-19 restrictions.

Coverage from NPR, KNAU, and Yahoo highlights concerns from health experts regarding the consistency of federal health policy. Reports from Good Authority note that these outbreaks are placing strain on the post-Trump global health system, while WV News reports that infectious disease experts at WVU are currently assessing the level of risk to the U.S.

Future developments hinge on the continued assessment of domestic risk levels by infectious disease experts. Coverage does not yet specify how the White House intends to reconcile these current health policies with earlier stances on pandemic-era restrictions.
