# Schrödinger’s Cat Gets Stranger: Physicists Demonstrate Quantum States No One Has Seen Before

> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-06-12 02:07 UTC · Category: Science

## Executive Summary
Oxford physicists have created quantum states so complex they defy prior theoretical limits—redefining Schrödinger’s cat thought experiments.

## Intelligence Brief
These states, long theorized but never realized, now demonstrate unprecedented control over quantum coherence and entanglement, according to coverage from *EurekAlert!* and *Phys.org*. Outlets like *IFLScience* and *Quantum Zeitgeist* highlight the potential for these states to enhance quantum computing precision and error correction.

Coverage does not yet specify timelines for commercial or industrial adoption.
