# Ubisoft Says The Original Rayman Legends Is "Staying Put"

> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-06-14 07:07 UTC · Category: Technology

## Executive Summary
Ubisoft confirms the original *Rayman Legends* will remain available despite the upcoming remake's launch.

## Intelligence Brief
The remake is described as a modernized version of the classic, retaining core gameplay while introducing a 3D aesthetic. Coverage emphasizes the rarity of Ubisoft’s decision to preserve the original title, which contrasts with past practices where remakes led to delistings.

Outlets like *Nintendo Life* and *Nintendo Everything* highlight this as a notable shift in strategy, potentially influenced by fan demand or market trends. Watching next: Whether Ubisoft’s stance signals a broader policy change for preserving older titles alongside remakes.

The launch of *Retold* may also impact pre-order and sales dynamics for the original, depending on player preferences for 2D vs. 3D versions.
