> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-06-15 18:07 UTC · Category: Sports

## Executive Summary
Tunisia’s World Cup coach faces imminent dismissal after a crushing opening-game defeat.

## Intelligence Brief
Tunisia has terminated Sabri Lamouchi’s contract as manager following a 5-1 loss to Sweden in their opening World Cup match. The decision comes just hours after the defeat, with reports indicating the sacking is finalized before Tunisia’s next game.

Coverage from *The Guardian*, *CBS Sports*, *Sports Illustrated*, *Yahoo Sports*, and *ESPN* confirms the swift response, framing the move as a direct reaction to the team’s poor performance. The tone across outlets suggests widespread surprise at the abruptness of the dismissal, though no details on a replacement have been released.

Next steps will likely involve Tunisia’s football federation announcing an interim manager or a long-term replacement. The team’s next World Cup match will serve as their debut under new leadership, with expectations set extremely low following the heavy defeat.
