## Executive Summary
Sony expands its PS Plus Extra lineup with two additional games while facing widespread user backlash over a new experiment.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent reporting across gaming outlets details a dual development regarding Sony's subscription service. At the same time, the rollout of a major change by PlayStation has triggered significant negative reactions from the gaming community. Coverage heavily emphasizes the community dissatisfaction surrounding a new PlayStation Plus experiment. Push Square characterizes the new feature as an absolutely terrible idea that nobody likes, noting that gamers are openly expressing their displeasure.

MSN reports that the newly rolled out major change has left gamers unhappy with the direction of the service. This subscriber frustration builds upon existing expectations regarding subscription value and service transparency. While Sony frequently updates the PS Plus Extra library with fresh titles for players to download, the simultaneous introduction of unpopular experimental changes has overshadowed the positive addition of the new games. The reports indicate that the juxtaposition of expanding downloadable content alongside controversial systemic alterations is the core driver of the current discourse.

Future updates will likely focus on whether Sony responds to the adverse feedback from its user base. Coverage does not yet specify whether the company plans to modify or reverse the controversial experiment in light of the backlash.
