## Executive Summary
A potential new Metroid title, reportedly titled Metroid Ravenous, has surfaced via an unexpected leak from the Brazilian government's age rating system.

## Intelligence Brief
A new installment in the Metroid series has reportedly been leaked through an official age rating process conducted by the Brazilian government. According to reporting from IGN, the game is intended for the upcoming Switch 2 hardware. The leak occurred when the title appeared within Brazil's rating system before being quickly removed. As detailed by Wccftech, the specific title associated with this leak is Metroid Ravenous. This discovery happened unexpectedly and was noted by DualShockers as occurring in a highly random manner, catching the industry by surprise during the rating certification process. Multiple gaming news outlets have converged on this story to emphasize the speed of Nintendo's reaction and the timing of the leak.

Wccftech explicitly mentions that Nintendo yanked the information from the rating system shortly after it surfaced. IGN and DualShockers focused on the significance of the hardware target, highlighting that the title is linked to the successor of the current Switch console. The coverage collectively stresses that the appearance of the name Metroid Ravenous serves as the primary evidence for the game's existence, as the rating entry was the only visible source of this information before it was deleted. To understand the context of this leak, it is necessary to note the timing relative to previous releases in the franchise. Wccftech reports that this leak surfaced months after the release of a title called Beyond, which had finally landed. This sequence of events suggests a rapid succession of Metroid content or a shift in the series' release cadence.

The transition to the Switch 2 represents a critical hardware leap for Nintendo, making any leaks regarding the console's software library particularly impactful for consumers and analysts tracking the company's next-generation strategy. Looking forward, the industry is monitoring whether Nintendo will officially confirm the existence of Metroid Ravenous or the specifications of the Switch 2. While the Brazilian government's rating system provided a glimpse of the title, coverage does not yet specify a release date or detailed gameplay features. Observers will be watching for further official announcements from Nintendo to verify if the leaked title is accurate or if the rating entry was an error. The primary point of interest remains the verification of the Switch 2's software lineup following the removal of the Brazilian rating entry.
