## Executive Summary
Texas authorities probe StubHub as fans report canceled World Cup tickets and significant financial losses.

## Intelligence Brief
StubHub is facing scrutiny over its handling of FIFA World Cup tickets, specifically regarding cancellations and alleged "ghost ticketing." Issues include buyers being stranded at gates after spending thousands and sellers losing control of tickets they attempted to cancel. Coverage from the Financial Times and Bloomberg highlights a probe by Texas authorities into these practices.

Reports from Yahoo Sports and CBC describe instances where users canceled sales but StubHub retained the tickets, while CTV News and Yahoo document cases where users had money reclaimed or were left out of pocket. NBC Bay Area notes complaints about seat "upgrades" that actually moved fans further back in the stadium.

The Spokesman-Review reports that soccer fans are calling for broader investigations into these ticketing practices. Coverage does not yet specify the timeline for the Texas probe.
