## Executive Summary
Less than half of WNBA players voted for All-Star starters after ballot distribution issues disrupted the voting process.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent reporting from outlets including ESPN, The New York Times, Bleacher Report, and Yahoo Sports details significant developments surrounding the selection of starters for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game. According to the coverage, less than half of the league's players participated in the voting process for All-Star starters. This low participation rate followed a specific logistical failure involving the Los Angeles Sparks organization, which reportedly bungled ballot distribution to players. Coverage across the participating publications emphasizes the resulting roster outcomes and the immediate reactions from players regarding the selection results.

Yahoo Sports reports that the announced starters include Caitlin Clark, A'ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, and rookie Olivia Miles. Bleacher Report and Yahoo Sports highlight comments from Angel Reese, who publicly characterized her omission and the absence of any Atlanta Dream players among the starters as a slap in the face, raising questions about whether the Dream deserved a starting representative. The background established by the reporting connects the incomplete player voting and the subsequent roster decisions directly to the ballot distribution issues experienced by the Los Angeles Sparks. While the league proceeded to name its starting lineup featuring prominent names like A'ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and rookie Olivia Miles, the underlying voting data indicates that a majority of WNBA players did not cast ballots for these positions.

As the situation continues to develop, ongoing coverage does not yet specify what formal inquiries or corrective measures the league might implement in response to the incomplete voting numbers and the ballot distribution errors. Observers and fans will be monitoring further statements from the WNBA, individual franchises, and players regarding the integrity and execution of the All-Star selection process moving forward.
