> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-07-05 08:07 UTC · Category: Sports

## Executive Summary
Shohei Ohtani's triceps injury has removed him from the Dodgers' lineup and cast doubt on his All-Star Game pitching prospects.

## Intelligence Brief
Coverage from True Blue LA, Yahoo Sports, and MLB.com emphasizes the intersection of Ohtani's current physical status and the team's broader roster health. These outlets have grouped Ohtani's updates with notes on other key Dodgers players, specifically Freddie Freeman and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, indicating a period of critical health monitoring for multiple star athletes within the organization. Context regarding the All-Star Game (ASG) is central to the current discourse.

According to MLB.com, manager Dave Roberts has addressed the likelihood of Ohtani pitching during the midsummer classic. Roberts stated that it is hard to imagine Ohtani pitching in the ASG, specifically citing the timing of starts as a prohibitive factor. Future attention will be focused on the specific timeline for Ohtani's return to the lineup and any further updates regarding his pitching trajectory.

Observers will be watching for official medical milestones or changes in the Dodgers' roster notes that indicate progress in his recovery. Because Roberts has already expressed skepticism about the All-Star Game appearance, the focus shifts to when Ohtani can realistically resume both hitting and pitching duties for Los Angeles during the regular season.
