> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-07-09 10:07 UTC · Category: Science

## Executive Summary
The Artemis II crew has returned to Kennedy Space Center for their first visit since completing a record-breaking lunar mission in April 2026.

## Intelligence Brief
The four astronauts of the Artemis II mission recently reunited with their spacecraft at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. This event follows their April 2026 flight, which set a record for the distance traveled by humans from Earth by looping around the far side of the Moon on a free-return path.

Reports highlight that the mission surpassed the distance record previously held by the 1970 Apollo 13 flight, despite not including a lunar landing. Looking forward, the crew is sharing insights from their mission with the Artemis III team.

Coverage does not yet specify the next scheduled milestones for the Artemis program following these advisory briefings and post-flight appearances.
