According to coverage from the Daily Camera, Sanders is currently healthy and feeling energized. This physical and mental state comes at a critical time as the Buffaloes' season is described as being around the corner. The coach's readiness is tied directly to his goal of leading a resurgence for the Colorado program, as detailed in reports from NBC Sports. Major sports media outlets are currently focusing on Sanders' presence and personality during the lead-up to the season.

ESPN highlighted his contributions during the Big 12 media days, specifically noting that Sanders, along with Joey McGuire, provided some of the top quips from the event. The coverage emphasizes that Sanders is not only physically recovered but is actively engaging with the media and the conference landscape in a manner consistent with his established public persona. The focus across these outlets remains on his leadership and his ability to generate momentum for his team. To understand why this development matters now, it is necessary to recognize the context of the Big 12 media days and the timing of the college football calendar. Looking forward, observers will be monitoring the transition from media days to the actual start of the Buffaloes' season. The coverage suggests that the primary indicator of success will be whether this renewed energy translates into the resurgent performance mentioned by NBC Sports.
