## Intelligence Brief
According to extensive coverage from outlets including Yahoo Sports, Bleacher Report, MMA Fighting, MMAWeekly.com, and CBS Sports, the UFC 329 main event in Las Vegas culminated in a rapid victory for Max Holloway over Conor McGregor. The bout marked McGregor's return to the Octagon after a lengthy layoff following his 2021 knockout loss to Dustin Poirier. Leading up to the event, coverage highlighted various elements of the fight card, including official weigh-in results where McGregor weighed in on point and Holloway prepared for his 170 debut. Major interest also surrounded a one-million-dollar wager placed by musician Drake on McGregor, as reported by outlets such as TMZ, Billboard, and MMA Junkie. Additionally, UFC executive Dana White announced prior to the fights that UFC 329 had shattered the gate record. Reporting from platforms like x.com and various sports publications documented the abrupt conclusion of the main event in rapid detail.

McGregor reportedly slipped twice while throwing kicks in the opening seconds of the fight and went down again, allowing Holloway to swarm him before the referee waved off the contest. The sequence ended in under a minute, specifically lasting 69 seconds. Outlets including MMAWeekly.com and Yahoo Sports confirmed that McGregor blew out his knee during the exchange, resulting in a devastating injury that cut his long-awaited return short and handed the win to Holloway. Prior to the event, sports media outlets focused heavily on the context of the rematch, noting that fans had waited five years for the two fighters to meet again. Coverage from Fox News, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN detailed the betting odds, public backing for McGregor, and larger wagers placed on Holloway. Analysts and preview guides reviewed the historical background of both competitors, revisiting McGregor's absence from the sport and examining the stakes of the rematch.

Promotional material and odds guides from CBS Sports and FOX Sports also set expectations for the complete fight card taking place in Las Vegas. Following the abrupt conclusion, current coverage concentrates on the fallout of the knee injury and the fight statistics, prize money, and video highlights compiled by Bleacher Report and MMA Fighting. Because the coverage does not yet specify a recovery timeline for McGregor or an exact date for potential future bouts, ongoing reports continue to aggregate the immediate aftermath of the event. Readers and viewers are directed to official UFC channels and sports networks for further updates regarding the fighters and the division following UFC 329.
