## Executive Summary
Dodge is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Charger with a coast-to-coast summer tour and the upcoming reveal of a new, high-power model.

## Intelligence Brief
Dodge is currently commemorating 60 years of the Dodge Charger through a nationwide muscle car tour that spans from coast to coast. According to reporting from Torque News and MoparInsiders, this anniversary celebration involves a series of events designed to showcase the heritage of American muscle. As part of these festivities, Palisades News reports that Dodge will display classic vehicles on the pier during a Route 66 Centennial Parade. Additionally, PennLive.com notes that a limited edition Purple Haze Dodge Charger is scheduled to be on display at the Carlisle show as part of the ongoing summer tour. Several automotive outlets are focusing on the evolution of the vehicle's performance and design.

Media.Stellantis.com describes the current design phase as an era where heritage takes shape in a new direction. American Cars And Racing reports that the most powerful version of the Dodge Charger is scheduled to be revealed on August 8. However, autoevolution emphasizes a specific technical detail regarding this upcoming release, noting that while the new model will be more powerful, it will still not feature a HEMI engine. This transition marks a shift in the vehicle's powertrain strategy as the brand moves forward. Contextual coverage from HotCars suggests that the 60-year tour has not been without criticism, claiming that the event ignores the wildest and rarest models that collectors typically hunt for.

This suggests a tension between the brand's corporate celebration of its legacy and the specific interests of high-end automotive collectors. The tour serves as a bridge between the historical significance of the Charger and the brand's future technological trajectory, utilizing high-profile venues like the Route 66 Centennial Parade to maintain visibility among enthusiasts. Looking ahead, the primary point of interest is the August 8 reveal of the most powerful Charger model. Observers will be monitoring the specifications of this new vehicle, particularly in light of the reports from autoevolution regarding the absence of a HEMI engine. The remaining stops of the nationwide summer tour will continue to feature specialty vehicles, such as the Purple Haze edition, as Dodge attempts to blend its sixty-year history with the launch of its next generation of performance vehicles.
