## Intelligence Brief
Recent reports from outlets including dw.com, IQAir, Yahoo, France 24, Al Jazeera, Reuters, and Le Monde.fr document a major wildfire tearing through the historic Fontainebleau forest south of Paris. Authorities have confirmed that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident as emergency response teams continue their efforts on the ground. Coverage from France 24 specifically details that more than 1,900 hectares of the Fontainebleau forest have been destroyed by the flames.

Outlets like Al Jazeera have published photographic documentation showing the extent of the damage to the historic woodland, while Le Monde.fr has captured local eyewitness accounts describing the surreal feeling of watching the forest burn. Firefighters remain actively engaged in battling the major blaze as it advances through the southern sector. The ongoing fire is occurring against the wider backdrop of a severe heatwave currently scorching Europe, as highlighted by reporting from Yahoo and IQAir's wildfire map spotlight tracking multiple blazes across southern Europe.
