## Executive Summary
Tributes pour in for 'Jurassic Park' star Sam Neill after his death at age 78, with reports confirming pneumonia as the cause of death.

## Intelligence Brief
Acclaimed New Zealand actor Sam Neill has died at the age of 78, according to reports from Variety. Following his passing, the cause of death was officially identified as pneumonia, a detail confirmed by his agent as reported by Sky News. This clarification was released to end what Deadline described as "outright falsehoods" regarding the circumstances of his death. The news has sparked a wave of tributes from colleagues and former co-stars, including the child stars from the original Jurassic Park film, who noted that Neill continued to support them three decades after the movie's release. Coverage from Yahoo and Fox News emphasizes the health struggles the actor faced in his final period. Laura Tingle, an ex-partner of Neill, stated that he had been "pretty sick for the last couple of weeks" before his death.

Tingle further clarified that a previous battle with cancer had left Neill's immune system compromised, which contributed to his vulnerability. Fox News reports that a co-star also confirmed the contraction of pneumonia prior to his passing. These accounts provide a specific timeline of his declining health leading up to the final announcement of his death. To provide context on his enduring legacy, Yahoo highlighted a touching video of Neill singing "Blackbird" alongside the original Jurassic Park cast. The New York Times has focused on his professional contributions by listing his best movie performances and providing information on where those films can be streamed. His influence also extends to unique tributes, such as a dinosaur theme park located in Kentucky that is currently honoring the actor's memory.

These reports collectively frame Neill as a pivotal figure in cinema whose impact reached beyond his most famous role in the dinosaur franchise. Looking forward, the coverage indicates a continued focus on the actor's cinematic archive and the public tributes following the confirmation of his cause of death. While the agent has sought to stop misinformation by revealing the pneumonia diagnosis, the public continues to share memories and archival footage of his collaborations. Future developments are likely to center on the curated lists of his best work as viewers seek to stream his performances via the platforms suggested by the New York Times and other entertainment outlets.
