## Executive Summary
Late child star Daveigh Chase left a $400,000 estate without a will after dying while homeless at 35.

## Intelligence Brief
According to extensive coverage from outlets including NBC News, The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, E! News, People.com, Page Six, TMZ, KTLA, Daily Breeze, Orange County Register, New York Post, NZ Herald, Yahoo, Mag the weekly, and LAmag, former child actress Daveigh Chase passed away at the age of 35. Media reports establish that the late star of The Ring and Lilo & Stitch died while living on the streets in Los Angeles. Subsequent public records and legal filings revealed that despite her homelessness, Chase left behind a six-figure personal property estate valued at $400,000, though coverage does not yet specify the full inventory of those assets. Following her death at age 35, widespread reports from outlets such as USA Today and The Hollywood Reporter detailed that the actress died without leaving a will.

In response to the intestate death, legal proceedings emerged as Chase's mother officially requested control of the $400,000 estate. Concurrently, additional documentation surfaced regarding her passing; the New York Post, Page Six, and Yahoo reported that her death certificate publicly revealed her final resting place. Media coverage also captured reactions from those connected to the late actress, including statements from her friend Amy Castle and her father regarding her cause of death. The emerging public record surrounding the late child star highlights a stark contrast between her substantial financial valuation at the time of her death and her living conditions on the streets of Los Angeles. Outlets like NBC News and People.com emphasized the legal complications arising from dying without a will, which necessitates court intervention for the estate's distribution.

The disclosure of her final resting place through death certificate details provided by Page Six and Yahoo added factual clarity to the timeline following her passing at age 35, while reports from LAmag and Us Weekly documented the personal grief and public statements shared by her father and friend Amy Castle. As coverage continues to monitor the situation, attention shifts toward the ongoing legal developments regarding the mother's formal petition for control of the $400,000 assets. Outlets covering the probate proceedings note that without a will, the court must navigate the distribution of the estate. Future updates from the Los Angeles legal system will determine how the six-figure estate is handled, while public statements from family members and associates like Amy Castle remain part of the documented record surrounding the late actress's final days and legacy.
