## Intelligence Brief
Actor Gabriel Luna has officially joined the cast of the second season of Dexter: Resurrection. According to reports from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, Luna has been added to the production to portray a new character. This role is specifically identified as a serial killer, marking a shift in the actor's typical screen presence. Coverage from Yahoo, Deadline, and NJ.com emphasizes the high profile of the casting choice. Yahoo specifically identifies Luna as a star of The Last of Us, suggesting that his popularity in that series brings a significant draw to the production.

Deadline has framed this casting as the beginning of a "serial killer era" for the actor. The reporting across these multiple entertainment outlets highlights a shared focus on the terrifying nature of the role Luna is set to inhabit within the narrative of the show. To understand the significance of this development, it is necessary to recognize the context of the series and the actor's career trajectory.
