## Executive Summary
Xbox Game Pass is seeing significant shifts in its library, including a sudden cancellation of a high-profile release and price drops for departing titles.

## Intelligence Brief
The Xbox Game Pass service is currently undergoing several changes to its available software lineup. According to reporting from TrueAchievements, PowerWash Simulator is leaving the Game Pass service, a transition that has been accompanied by a significant discount for the title. Simultaneously, there has been a disruption regarding the availability of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. Coverage from IGN, Video Games Chronicle, and The Big Lead indicates that Microsoft has pulled this specific title from the July 2026 Xbox Game Pass lineup, effectively canceling its planned release on the subscription service. The coverage emphasizes a lack of transparency regarding the removal of the skateboarding title.

IGN specifically notes that Microsoft pulled Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 from the lineup without providing an explanation for the decision. This development is being tracked across multiple industry outlets, with Video Games Chronicle confirming that the game was removed from the upcoming releases list and The Big Lead explicitly stating that the release was cancelled. These reports collectively highlight a sudden shift in the service's planned content delivery for the month of July 2026. Contextually, these events illustrate the fluid nature of the Xbox Game Pass library, where titles are frequently added and removed based on licensing or strategic decisions. The case of PowerWash Simulator demonstrates the common industry practice of offering deep discounts to players who wish to purchase a game permanently before it exits the subscription ecosystem.

In contrast, the situation with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is distinct because it involves a title that was expected to arrive but was removed before it could be accessed by the broader subscriber base in July. Looking ahead, observers will be monitoring for any official statements from Microsoft to clarify the reasons behind the cancellation of the Tony Hawk release, as coverage currently states no explanation was given. There is also interest in the duration and specific terms of the discount for PowerWash Simulator as it transitions away from the service. Further updates from outlets like TrueAchievements and IGN will be necessary to determine if other planned July titles are subject to similar removals or if these are isolated incidents affecting only these two specific games.
