A central focus of these announcements is the return of Michael 'Venom' Page, who will face Nursulton Ruziboev. This bout is specifically noted as a surprising return to the middleweight division for Page. Along with this matchup, the organization has added several other bouts to the card to fill out the event's lineup in France. These developments mark the initial phase of the fight card's construction for the September date. Media coverage of the announcement is widespread across sports and combat sports outlets.

Yahoo Sports and Heavy.com report the addition of multiple fights, with Yahoo Sports specifying that eight fights have been announced, while Heavy.com notes seven. Specialized MMA outlets, including MMA Junkie and MMA Fighting, emphasize the strategic nature of Michael Page's shift back to the middleweight division. Additionally, the BBC has confirmed the specific date of September 5 for the encounter between Page and Ruziboev, ensuring the timeline for the event is clear to the public. Contextual details from the coverage suggest that the UFC Paris event may serve as a significant platform for returning athletes. talkSPORT mentions that Michael Page has been added to a card that is currently mooted for the return of Tom Aspinall. This suggests that the event is being positioned as a high-profile gathering of talent, combining surprising weight class returns with anticipated comebacks from established fighters. The focus on Paris indicates a continued effort by the UFC to establish a strong presence in the European market through these specific matchmaking decisions.

Looking ahead, observers will be monitoring for further additions to the fight card as it evolves from this first batch of announcements. While Sports Illustrated and other outlets have highlighted the initial set of bouts, the full card has not yet been finalized. Future updates are expected to clarify if Tom Aspinall's return is officially confirmed beyond the mooted reports provided by talkSPORT.
