## Executive Summary
Cyberpunk 2077 is expanding its universe with the announcement of both a board game and a new title tied to the Edgerunners series.

## Intelligence Brief
According to reports from ScreenRant, a game specifically titled Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners is officially scheduled to be released in September 2026. Simultaneously, several outlets including Yahoo, Bounding Into Comics, and Analytics Insight have reported on the development of a Cyberpunk 2077 board game. This tabletop adaptation is currently set for a 2027 release. The timing of these announcements suggests a multi-platform expansion of the franchise's intellectual property over the next twelve to twenty-four months. Coverage from IMDb, Fingerlakes1.com, and chshyd.in emphasizes that brand-new gameplay and features have been revealed to the public. These outlets highlight that fans are now getting a closer look at the specific mechanics and major changes accompanying the new releases.

Creative Bloq adds a unique perspective to these reveals, noting that the new Cyberpunk 2077 game is more analogue than observers might have initially anticipated. This suggests a shift in presentation or medium, which aligns with the specific mention of the board game format found in other reports. The context of these releases is framed as an ambitious return for the franchise. Collider describes the upcoming projects as an ambitious new release, signaling a strategic effort to bring the Cyberpunk 2077 world back into the spotlight. The transition from a purely digital experience to including an analogue board game suggests a desire to broaden the reach of the brand. By diversifying the medium, the franchise is moving toward a broader entertainment ecosystem that includes both traditional gaming and tabletop experiences, leveraging the existing popularity of the setting.

Looking forward, the immediate focus for the community will be the September 2026 arrival of the Edgerunners game. Stakeholders and fans will likely monitor for further gameplay reveals as that date approaches. Beyond 2026, the industry will look toward 2027 for the official launch of the board game. Coverage does not yet specify the exact nature of the 'major changes' mentioned by chshyd.in, nor does it provide specific pricing or platform details for the Edgerunners title, leaving those as key points for future updates.
