## Executive Summary
Hasbro and Nintendo enter a multi-year partnership to launch an official Legend of Zelda toy line as part of the franchise's 40th anniversary celebrations.

## Intelligence Brief
Hasbro and Nintendo have entered into a multi-year licensing agreement to produce a new line of official Legend of Zelda toys. A key component of the initial rollout involves 6-inch figures, which Toy Habits reports are scheduled to be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. The collaboration marks a significant move for both companies as they expand the physical presence of the Hyrule universe through high-quality collectibles and action figures. Coverage from a wide array of outlets, including The Toy Book, Nintendo Life, and Kotaku, emphasizes the scale of the deal, specifically noting its multi-year duration. 9to5Toys highlights that this announcement comes ahead of the release of an Ocarina of Time remake, suggesting a strategic alignment between toy releases and game launches.

Polygon confirms the toys are part of the official 40th anniversary event, while Yahoo and Nintendo Everything report that the first products of the partnership will be revealed in the near future, aligning with the upcoming SDCC event. The timing of this deal is tied to several major milestones within the Nintendo ecosystem. According to IGN, the push into toys occurs as a live-action movie based on the series looms on the horizon. Additionally, Draftsim suggests that this corporate partnership may bring Magic: The Gathering closer to a potential collaboration with the Legend of Zelda, given Hasbro's ownership of the card game.

These converging factors—the 40th anniversary, a remake of a classic title, and a cinematic project—provide the context for why Nintendo is expanding its licensing efforts with Hasbro. Observers are now looking toward San Diego Comic-Con 2026 for the official reveal of the 6-inch figure line. Because the agreement is described as a multi-year deal, further product categories may emerge beyond the initial action figures. Additionally, the market will be watching for confirmation of a Magic: The Gathering tie-in and further details regarding the Ocarina of Time remake, as these events are closely linked to the launch of the Hasbro toy line according to the reporting by 9to5Toys and Draftsim.
