## Executive Summary
Marvel Comics is ending its 90-year tenure in New York City by relocating its publishing operations to Burbank and Los Angeles.

## Intelligence Brief
Marvel Comics is executing a major structural overhaul that involves relocating its publishing arm from New York City to California. According to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter, the company is moving its staffers to Los Angeles. This relocation affects more than 100 Marvel employees, who have been given a one-year timeframe to move across the country. The transition marks the end of the company's presence in New York, where it has been based for 90 years, as it shifts its operations toward Hollywood and specifically the city of Burbank. Coverage from a wide array of outlets, including Yahoo Finance, Gizmodo, and IGN, emphasizes the scale of this relocation. Forbes describes the move as the end of several eras for the publisher. The transition is coinciding with a significant change in leadership.

Marvel.com and Comic Book Club report that Stephen Wacker has been named the new Editor-in-Chief. Cebulski, who has served in the role for nearly a decade. Multiple sources, including Popverse, note that Cebulski is being sent to Japan to take on a new role as part of this organizational shake-up. This shift is framed by outlets like Bleeding Cool News and the A.V. Club as a pivotal moment for the brand, moving away from its traditional East Coast roots toward the entertainment hub of the West Coast. The move is categorized as part of a broader overhaul of the company's operations. By establishing a base in Burbank, Marvel aligns its publishing arm more closely with the geographical center of the film and television industry in Hollywood, moving away from the environment where it spent nine decades operating.

Observers should watch for the implementation of this relocation over the next year as the 100-plus employees begin their transition. Attention will also be on Stephen Wacker as he assumes his duties as Editor-in-Chief in Burbank. While the coverage specifies that C.B. Cebulski is moving to Japan, the specific nature of his new role there has not been detailed. The industry will be monitoring how this geographic shift and leadership change impact the publishing arm's output following the departure from New York City.
