Nike expands its college football footprint by signing a broad class of star collegiate athletes and high school recruits to name, image, and likeness deals.

## Intelligence Brief
According to coverage from outlets including On3, Yahoo Sports, 247Sports, and Sole Retriever, Nike has officially announced a sweeping expansion of its name, image, and likeness athlete roster. The corporate announcements detail agreements with multiple top college football players and high school recruits ahead of the upcoming football season. Specific student-athletes and commits from prominent collegiate programs across the country are included in the fresh wave of athletic partnerships. These announcements span high-profile universities, marking a coordinated corporate effort by the footwear and apparel giant to lock down key talent across the collegiate sports landscape. Coverage emphasizes the precise regional and institutional breakdown of the player signings, with reports published by local and national sports media such as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Cleveland.com, AL.com, Burnt Orange Nation, and lsusports.net.

Outlets point out that programs like Auburn expressed gratitude for Nike's heightened focus within the evolving name, image, and likeness space. The reports enumerate specific rosters impacted by the corporate rollout, highlighting six Clemson football players, three Buckeyes from Ohio State, seven Alabama players including three in-state athletes, six Georgia players alongside a five-star commit, and prominent Texas-associated recruits including Colin Simmons and Cam Coleman. Furthermore, Vanderbilt quarterback Jared Curtis and LSU holding the largest football class in the Nike Blue Ribbon Elite Program receive detailed coverage. Background context within the headlines establishes that this wave of signings involves both current college football stars and highly sought-after high school prep recruits. Outlets such as About Nike frame the move as a reinforcement of what the brand describes as a dominant roster in football.

The timing of the announcement places the new partnerships directly ahead of the 2026 season, catching the attention of analysts monitoring the intersection of major sportswear brands and collegiate athletics. The specific mechanics, financial terms, or individual durations of these newly inked name, image, and likeness agreements are not disclosed in the current coverage. Looking ahead, coverage does not yet specify additional upcoming roster expansions or the full operational scope of the Nike Blue Ribbon Elite Program beyond the currently announced participants. Observers will monitor how these multi-school partnerships influence athletic branding and recruitment dynamics as the season approaches. Further developments regarding institutional reactions from athletic departments not explicitly detailed in the initial announcements remain subject to future reporting across sports media networks.
