## Executive Summary
Nippon Ichi Software is bringing the Disgaea universe to the board game genre with the upcoming release of Prinny Party: Going Overboard!

## Intelligence Brief
A new multiplayer title titled Prinny Party: Going Overboard! has been announced, bringing the characters and world of the Disgaea series into a board game format. According to coverage from Gematsu and Inven Global, the game is scheduled to launch on November 12 in Japan and Asia. While the initial release focuses on those regions, reports from Crunchyroll and Gematsu confirm that a Western release is planned. The title is being localized as Prinny Party, though it is referred to in other contexts as Prinny Board Battle or Let's Party! Prinny Board Battle, with NISA handling the announcement for the Western market. Major gaming outlets have highlighted specific platform availability and gameplay features.

Push Square reports that the title will be a four-player party game available on the PlayStation 5. Additionally, Nintendo Everything notes that the game is announced for both the original Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2. The coverage from Siliconera emphasizes the localization process, specifically how the sugoroku-style gameplay of the original Japanese version is being transitioned into the Western release titled Prinny Party. The integration of Disgaea elements into a board game setting is a central theme across these reports. To understand the current momentum, it is necessary to note that Nippon Ichi is leveraging the existing Disgaea intellectual property to expand into the party game genre. The game is described by Inven Global as a Disgaea-infused board game, suggesting a crossover between traditional tabletop mechanics and the series' established aesthetic.

The simultaneous nature of the global release strategy mentioned by Inven Global indicates a coordinated effort to bring the title to various markets, though the specific dates for the Western launch remain distinct from the November 12 date set for Asia. Looking ahead, the primary focus will be on the finalization of the Western release date and the specific deployment across the mentioned platforms. Observers will be watching for further updates from NISA and Nippon Ichi regarding the distribution on the PS5, the Nintendo Switch, and the Nintendo Switch 2. Because the game is slated for a November 12 launch in Japan and Asia, the industry will be monitoring for any new details regarding the timing of the Western localization as the launch window approaches.
