## Executive Summary
U.S. troops are managing relief operations in earthquake-stricken Venezuela, including unloading China's sole known aid flight to the region.

## Intelligence Brief
United States military forces are currently executing a large-scale disaster relief mission in Venezuela following a devastating earthquake. According to reports from Fox News, U.S. troops are performing the task of unloading China's only known aid flight to the earthquake-ravaged nation. Department of War has confirmed that U.S. forces continue to provide disaster relief assistance. A primary component of this operation involves the USS San Antonio, which the U.S. Department of War and Texas Border Business report has been deployed to the region to assume and support sustained humanitarian operations.

Coverage from various outlets highlights the scale and logistics of the mission. Forth.News reports that the USS San Antonio took over disaster relief as the earthquake death toll rose to 4,490. Texas Border Business notes that U.S. earthquake aid to Venezuela has now climbed past $380 million as recovery operations expand. Visual documentation from DVIDS, under the designation LCF-24, shows the LCAC delivery of disaster assistance supplies and the supply stage of the operation, including images of chaplain sermons and the physical delivery of aid materials. Contextual reports show a divide in how this intervention is being characterized.

While government sources and news outlets like Fox News focus on the surge of relief and the logistics of aid delivery, the Black Agenda Report characterizes the Pentagon's actions as turning the earthquake disaster into an occupation of Venezuela. This tension exists alongside the massive financial commitment of over $380 million mentioned by Texas Border Business, indicating a significant American investment in the recovery process during a period of high casualties. Future developments will likely center on the continued deployment of the USS San Antonio and the ongoing recovery operations. Watchers will monitor if additional international aid flights, similar to the one from China, arrive and are handled by U.S. forces. Department of War will likely continue to provide updates on the status of disaster relief assistance as recovery operations expand to address the needs of the population and manage the aftermath of the event that caused nearly 4,500 deaths.
