## Executive Summary
Google is updating the Android Contacts app with a 'Your info' card to simplify how users share their own phone numbers and personal details.

## Intelligence Brief
Google has begun the rollout of a new 'Your info' card within the Contacts app for Android users. This feature is designed to streamline the process of sharing a user's own phone number and personal details with others. According to coverage from 9to5Google and Android Authority, this specific functionality is now appearing as part of a broader update to the application's interface. The update focuses on creating a centralized location for a user's own identity information, allowing for more efficient sharing of contact data directly from the app. Multiple technology outlets are tracking the release, with 9to5Google providing a gallery of the new interface.

Android Headlines describes the addition as a feature the app has been lacking for a significant amount of time, while PhoneArena emphasizes that the update is centered entirely around the user's own data. Digital Trends notes that the implementation of the 'Your info' card is a move that borrows a specific functional trick previously seen on the iPhone, highlighting a convergence in how mobile operating systems handle personal contact sharing. To understand why this update is significant, it is necessary to note that Android users previously lacked a dedicated, streamlined 'Your info' card for instant sharing within the native Contacts app. This gap in functionality made the process of distributing one's own phone number less intuitive compared to the experience on competing platforms. By introducing this card, Google is addressing a long-standing omission in the app's feature set, bringing the Android experience closer to the convenience found in other mobile ecosystems.

Moving forward, observers will be watching the full deployment of the 'Your info' card across all supported Android devices. Because the feature is currently rolling out, coverage does not yet specify the exact timeline for when every user will have access to the update. The focus remains on the transition of this specific sharing tool from a limited release to a universal feature within the Google Contacts ecosystem. Further updates may clarify if additional personal data fields beyond phone numbers will be integrated into the card.
