## Executive Summary
GTA 6 hacker Arion Kurtaj has left a secure hospital and is remanded in a British prison awaiting a full criminal retrial.

## Intelligence Brief
According to these sources, Kurtaj has been released from a secure hospital following a mental health ruling that found him competent to face legal proceedings. He is currently awaiting a full criminal retrial. Reporting across the tracked articles places significant emphasis on the transition from the secure hospital environment to the British prison system. Platforms such as Yahoo and PC Gamer note that his previous indefinite sentence in 2023 was issued because he would not stop hacking.

Coverage from Yahoo also highlights that the prior leak cost Rockstar five million dollars. Outlets like IGN and games.gg focus heavily on the court's recent determination regarding his mental competency, which clears the path for the upcoming criminal retrial to proceed after his discharge from the hospital setting. Context provided within the articles points back to the high-profile 2023 sentencing, which occurred after Kurtaj engaged in continuous hacking activity that resulted in major proprietary leaks from the developer Rockstar. The initial legal response involved an indefinite hospital order due to psychiatric evaluations at that time.

Readers are reminded through current reporting that the ongoing legal saga stems directly from those earlier security breaches involving the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 title, which drew intense global attention from the gaming industry and media alike. Looking ahead, the coverage does not yet specify the exact date when the new trial will commence in the British court system. Observers and readers must follow subsequent updates from the reporting outlets to learn when court proceedings will officially begin. The available material establishes only that Kurtaj is currently held in custody in a British prison while preparations for the criminal retrial move forward following his release from the secure medical facility.
