## Executive Summary
The United States has extended a series of consecutive military strikes against Iran, triggering a volatile escalation in the Strait of Hormuz.

## Intelligence Brief
The United States military has conducted a sustained campaign of strikes against Iran, with reporting from Politico and the BBC tracking the operations from a sixth consecutive day into a seventh and eventually a ninth night of activity. According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. has specifically targeted Iranian bridges as part of a strategic effort to choke off supply routes for the regime. This sequence of aerial operations has coincided with an escalation in the Strait of Hormuz, where the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched attacks on oil tankers, according to reports from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Major international outlets including Reuters, The Guardian, and Bloomberg have highlighted the severe impact on maritime security. Reuters reports that Iran has stated two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz exploded and were immobilized.

Bloomberg further detailed that an oil tanker appeared to halt in the strait after Iran targeted vessels. The Guardian emphasizes the gravity of the situation, reporting that Iran has vowed that not a single drop of oil or gas will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz in response to the ninth night of U.S. strikes. Contextual coverage from The Economist provides a broader global view, noting that Iran has issued warnings to ships in the Hormuz region. The conflict is characterized by an escalating cycle of violence where U.S. bridge strikes are met with Iranian maritime aggression. A retired Navy SEAL, cited by KATU, describes these strikes as marking a critical phase in the conflict, noting that President Trump is currently weighing the next steps for the administration's response to the ongoing volatility in the region.

Future developments center on whether the U.S. will continue its strike campaign beyond the ninth night and how the international community responds to the blockade of oil and gas shipments. Coverage from CNBC indicates that U.S. strikes continue to be a primary focus of morning news briefs. Observers are monitoring the specific actions of the IRGC and the movement of commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, as Iran continues to threaten the flow of energy resources through one of the world's most vital maritime chokepoints.
