> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-07-19 17:07 UTC · Category: Technology

## Executive Summary
Xbox Game Pass is set to lose eight titles on July 31, 2026, sparking subscriber backlash and highlighting library turnover.

## Intelligence Brief
Xbox Game Pass is scheduled to remove eight games from its subscription service on July 31, 2026. This transition means that subscribers will no longer have access to these specific titles through the service starting at the end of the month. According to the available reports, the list of departing games includes Crusader Kings 3, which is identified as one of the larger losses for the service. The timing of these removals is consistent across all reported sources, marking a specific date for the end of availability for these eight titles. This development has been widely tracked across several gaming and technology news outlets. Similarly, Pure Xbox and TrueAchievements have detailed the loss of these eight games.

PCGamesN specifically highlighted the impact on PC Game Pass, describing the removal of Crusader Kings 3 and seven other titles as a fresh blow to that specific tier of the subscription service. The coverage across these six sources indicates a coordinated update regarding the library's contents. Contextually, the removal of content from subscription-based models often leads to friction between the service provider and the user base. ComicBook.com emphasized this tension, reporting that some subscribers are reacting to these changes by stating they are ready to cancel their memberships. The site characterizes the state of the service as getting worse due to these departures. This reflects a broader trend where the value proposition of a subscription is tied directly to the stability and size of its available game library, and the loss of high-profile titles can trigger churn.

Moving forward, the primary point of focus is the official expiration date of July 31, 2026. While the total number of games leaving is confirmed as eight, the full list of the remaining seven titles beyond Crusader Kings 3 is not specified in the primary headlines. Observers and subscribers will likely monitor whether further titles are added to the departure list or if new games are introduced to offset these losses. The immediate impact will be felt by PC Game Pass users and general Xbox Game Pass subscribers as the end-of-month deadline approaches.
