## Executive Summary
Garmin is entering the screenless wearable market with the CIRQA, a subscription-free fitness tracker positioned as a rival to Whoop and Fitbit Air.

## Intelligence Brief
Garmin has revealed a new fitness wearable known as the CIRQA, which marks the company's first foray into screenless fitness trackers. According to reports from Notebookcheck and the5krunner, the device first appeared early within an official Garmin app, which provided the first look at the hardware. The CIRQA is described as a screen-free device designed for fitness tracking. Initial leaks and reports from the5krunner and TechRadar indicate that the device is priced at $199, while Bloomberg.com reports a price point of $200. Early technical leaks highlighted by Geeky Gadgets suggest that the CIRQA could feature EDA sensors to monitor physiological responses. Major technology and fitness outlets are focusing on the competitive positioning of the device.

The Verge emphasizes that the Garmin CIRQA does not require a subscription, distinguishing it from certain competitors. Bloomberg.com explicitly frames the device as a direct challenge to Whoop, while Tech Advisor and TechRadar identify the tracker as a rival to the Fitbit Air. Coverage from Runner's World confirms that this is the first time Garmin has released a fitness tracker without a screen. This product launch is significant because it represents a strategic shift for Garmin into the minimalist wearable category. The context provided by the coverage suggests a crowded market where screenless devices are used for continuous health monitoring without the distraction of a display. By offering a subscription-free model, as noted by The Verge, Garmin is positioning the CIRQA against existing business models in the fitness tracker industry.

The mention of the Fitbit Air by TechRadar and Tech Advisor suggests that the competition is specifically focused on lightweight, screen-free alternatives to traditional smartwatches. Future developments will likely center on the official commercial rollout of the CIRQA. While TechRadar notes that pricing was leaked via Garmin's own website, the full official launch details remain a point of interest. Observers will be watching for confirmation regarding the EDA sensors suggested by Geeky Gadgets. Additionally, the5krunner has noted recent admissions from Google regarding the Fitbit Air, which may further influence how the CIRQA is marketed and received upon its full release into the consumer electronics market.
