## Executive Summary
Israel is leveraging Haredi rabbis and social media influencers to neutralize an Iranian espionage campaign targeting ultra-Orthodox communities.

## Intelligence Brief
The Israeli government is implementing a specialized strategy to counter a recruitment campaign conducted by Iran. According to reports from The New York Times, the state is focusing its efforts on warning citizens against spying for Iran. A central component of this effort involves the enlistment of rabbis and Haredi influencers. These figures are being recruited to act as key voices in alerting the ultra-Orthodox community about the dangers and tactics of Iranian intelligence agents. The objective is to disrupt the recruitment pipeline by providing warnings directly to the target demographic through trusted leadership figures. Coverage of this development is widespread across several major news outlets.

The Times of Israel and i24NEWS report that authorities are specifically enlisting influencers and rabbis to warn Haredim against spying. Jerusalem Post highlights the emergence of rabbis as essential voices in this national security effort, while Israel National News and All Israel News detail the specific use of Haredi influencers to combat the Iranian reach. These reports collectively emphasize that the Israeli security apparatus is shifting its approach to combat Iranian influence by utilizing social and religious intermediaries who possess high levels of trust within the Haredi sector. This move underscores a specific vulnerability that Iranian intelligence is allegedly attempting to exploit via online reach and recruitment tactics. By targeting the Haredi community, Iranian agents are attempting to build an intelligence network within Israel. The use of rabbis and religious leaders suggests that traditional government warnings may not be as effective within these closed communities as messages delivered by recognized spiritual authorities.

Consequently, the state is treating the recruitment of these leaders not just as a social move, but as a necessary counter-intelligence measure to protect national security and prevent the infiltration of foreign agents. Future developments will likely center on the effectiveness of these religious leaders in reducing the success of Iranian recruitment. According to i24NEWS, the focus is on countering Iran's online reach, suggesting that the digital sphere is a primary battleground for this recruitment. Observers will be watching to see if more Haredi leaders join the effort or if the Iranian campaign shifts its targeting strategy. Coverage does not yet specify the exact number of people recruited by Iran or the specific methods used by the recruiters, but the ongoing enlistment of rabbis indicates that the Israeli government views this as a persistent and active threat.
