## Executive Summary
The United States and Iran edge closer to all-out war following Iranian strikes on a U.S. military base in Jordan that resulted in American casualties.

## Intelligence Brief
The U.S. military has confirmed that two service members were killed and one remains missing after Iran launched attacks against a military base located in Jordan. According to reporting from PBS and CNN, these strikes have led to significant casualties, while CBS News reports that three U.S. troops have been killed and dozens more were wounded amid repeat attacks on the facility. In a related incident in Iraq, Al Jazeera reports that another U.S. soldier was killed during the controlled detonation of an Iranian drone. The U.S. military has also reported the recovery of unidentified remains found in Jordan, as detailed by NBC News. Major news outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Telegraph emphasize that the U.S. is now teetering on the return of an all-out war with Iran.

Department of War has officially identified the Army casualties, and WOODTV.com specifies that the soldiers killed by Iran were from Texas and Hawaii. Coverage from Bloomberg.com highlights that strikes between the U.S. and Iran are escalating. Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reports that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it targeted a U.S. radar system and drone hangar in Kuwait, and fired ballistic missiles at U.S. military aircraft in Jordan. Contextual details provided by The Guardian indicate a sharp escalation in rhetoric, with President Trump stating that Iran will pay for killing soldiers many times over. This follows statements from Pezeshkian, who asserted that Iran is fighting a full-scale war.

The Guardian also notes that Israel has issued warnings that Tehran's attacks are coming close. This environment of heightened tension is further reflected in reports from USA Today, which describes rising tensions in the Iran war, and The Atlantic, which suggests that the Trump administration owes Americans a better explanation regarding the current situation with Iran. Future developments will likely center on the U.S. military's efforts to locate the missing service member and the potential for further retaliatory strikes. Based on reports from The New York Times and The Washington Post, the primary point of observation is whether the current escalation will result in a formal transition to all-out war. The international community is also monitoring the claims made by the IRGC regarding their strikes in Kuwait and Jordan to determine the full scope of the Iranian offensive and the subsequent U.S. response.
