## Executive Summary
iOS 27 beta 4 code reveals a potential new iPhone model featuring a multi-battery system, sparking rumors of a foldable device.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent discoveries within the iOS 27 beta 4 code have pointed toward the development of a new iPhone model characterized by a multi-battery feature. According to reports from 9to5Mac, Macworld, and MacRumors, the code specifically references an iPhone equipped with two batteries. This technical detail suggests that Apple is preparing a hardware configuration that deviates from the single-battery design used in standard models. Coverage from various technology outlets emphasizes different interpretations of this discovery. Macworld and MacRumors highlight the dual-battery aspect as a concrete revelation from the beta code.

Meanwhile, Lifehacker suggests that these findings might actually confirm the arrival of Apple's first foldable iPhone, as such a form factor would logically require multiple battery cells. PhoneArena adds another layer to the speculation, stating that the 'iPhone Ultra' has received a direct nod from Apple through these developments. The reports collectively suggest a significant shift in how Apple is approaching power management for a high-end device. To understand why this is trending, readers must consider the context of current iPhone architecture and the competitive landscape of foldable phones. The mention of a multi-battery system is critical because it implies a physical chassis capable of housing separated power sources, which is a common trait of foldable or oversized devices.

However, not all outlets are convinced that this indicates a new product. AppleInsider provides a contrasting perspective, noting that the plurality found in the iOS 27 beta code could be a red herring rather than a definitive hint toward an iPhone Fold or a new Ultra model. Looking forward, observers will be monitoring subsequent iOS 27 beta releases for further confirmation or clarification of these code references. Because AppleInsider has raised the possibility that the code is misleading, the primary point of interest will be whether the multi-battery references persist or are removed in future updates. The industry is watching to see if these mentions correlate with a formal announcement of an iPhone Ultra or a foldable variant, though current coverage does not specify a release date or official confirmation from Apple.
