## Executive Summary
Two states produced $1 million Powerball winners during the July 18, 2026 drawing, while the jackpot climbed to $544 million.

## Intelligence Brief
The Powerball drawing held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, resulted in multiple high-value wins across several states. According to reports from MLive.com, winning tickets worth $1 million each were sold in two different states. Additional winning tickets were identified in the Northeast; CT Insider and WANE 15 both report that two tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in Connecticut, with one of those $50,000 wins specifically occurring in New Haven. Furthermore, Yahoo reports that a ticket valued at $200,000 was sold in New Jersey following the July 18 drawing. Coverage from a variety of outlets emphasizes the current status of the grand prize.

While USA Today and ABC10 focused on whether anyone had claimed the initial jackpot worth $526 million, subsequent updates from CT Insider and Yahoo confirm that the jackpot has now jumped to $544 million. The Columbus Dispatch also focused its reporting on the winning numbers for July 18 and whether a jackpot winner had been identified. These outlets collectively highlight the distribution of secondary prizes while tracking the upward trajectory of the main prize pool. This trend is significant because it demonstrates the geographical spread of secondary winnings and the rapid accumulation of the jackpot when no grand prize winner is found. The transition from a $526 million prize to a $544 million prize indicates that no one successfully matched all the numbers for the July 18 draw.

The presence of $1 million winners in two states, alongside $50,000 wins in Connecticut and a $200,000 win in New Jersey, underscores the fact that while the jackpot remained unclaimed, several participants secured substantial lower-tier payouts. Future attention will be focused on the next drawing to see if any player matches the numbers for the current $544 million jackpot. Based on the reporting from CT Insider and Yahoo, the primary metric to watch is whether the jackpot continues to rise or if a winner emerges. Ticket holders are being encouraged by USA Today to check their tickets for the July 18 results to determine if they are among the million-dollar winners or those who won smaller amounts in New Haven, Connecticut, or New Jersey.
