## Executive Summary
The Kansas City Chiefs have unveiled renderings for a $3 billion dome stadium in Kansas, scheduled to open in 2031 following their exit from Arrowhead.

## Intelligence Brief
The Kansas City Chiefs have officially released renderings for a new stadium project located in Kansas, which is scheduled to open in 2031. This development follows the team's decision to exit Arrowhead. According to reports from ESPN and KCTV, the planned structure will be a dome stadium with a total projected cost of $3 billion. The team is also moving forward with an Olathe headquarters, and Construction Dive reports that the Chiefs have selected Burns & McDonnell, a Kansas City-based firm, to work on a $300 million facility associated with the team's growth. Coverage across multiple major sports and local outlets emphasizes the scale and design of the project.

ESPN and KCTV highlight the first look at the $3 billion facility, while NBC Sports notes that the building is being specifically designed and "built for noise." KMBC reports that the new project intends to honor the legacy of Arrowhead. The Kansas City Star has provided detailed reporting on the local partners involved, specifically focusing on the Kansas City firm selected for the build and the specifics regarding the Olathe headquarters partner. This transition marks a significant shift in the team's infrastructure as they move away from their long-term home at Arrowhead. The project involves not only the primary stadium but also supplementary facilities, such as the $300 million project involving Burns & McDonnell. The move to a dome stadium in Kansas suggests a strategic change in the team's operational environment, moving toward a controlled climate while attempting to maintain the acoustic intensity for which their previous venue was known.

Immediate attention is turning toward the specific technical details of the new build. Yahoo Sports notes that a decision has not yet been made regarding whether the new stadium will feature grass. Future updates are expected concerning the finalization of the Olathe HQ plans and the specific timeline for construction phases leading up to the 2031 opening date. The role of the selected Kansas City firm in the development of both the stadium and the headquarters remains a primary point of interest for local coverage.
