## Executive Summary
Samsung has introduced a critical functional update to the Galaxy S26 Ultra's Privacy Display feature via the One UI 9 Beta 4 release.

## Intelligence Brief
Samsung is currently rolling out updates to its software ecosystem, specifically focusing on the One UI 9 stable release and its beta iterations. According to reports from Gadget Hacks, a specific update for the Galaxy S26 Ultra's Privacy Display has been implemented within One UI 9 Beta 4. This particular software adjustment focuses on fixing Picture-in-Picture, or PiP, functionality, which had previously presented issues when used in conjunction with the device's privacy screen settings. The update aims to make the Privacy Display feature more useful for users who multitask on the S26 Ultra hardware. Coverage of these developments is appearing across several specialized technology outlets. Gadget Hacks explicitly highlights the technical fix for the PiP issue in the beta software.

PhoneArena reports that the Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra has become better due to these changes. Meanwhile, Android Authority focuses on the broader software rollout, noting that while the stable version of One UI 9 has been launched, owners of the Galaxy S26 series will have to wait for their specific update. Sammy Fans provided prior coverage regarding the official unveiling of One UI 9.0 and One UI 9.0 Watch. The context for this trend involves the transition from beta testing to a stable software release for Samsung's latest user interface. The Privacy Display is a hardware-software integration on the Galaxy S26 Ultra designed to limit visibility for onlookers, but the integration of Picture-in-Picture windows—which allow users to view two apps simultaneously—required refinement to operate correctly under those privacy constraints. This is a significant point for power users who rely on the S26 Ultra for high-productivity tasks while maintaining visual security of their screen contents.

Observers are now monitoring the transition of these beta fixes into the stable release of One UI 9. While the stable version of the software is officially launched, coverage from Android Authority indicates that the Galaxy S26 lineup is not among the first devices to receive it. Future developments will depend on when the stable version reaches the S26 Ultra and whether the PiP fixes identified in Beta 4 are fully integrated into that final public rollout. The official unveiling of One UI 9.0 and its companion Watch software marks the start of this wider deployment phase.
