## Executive Summary
Golf analysts and bettors are eyeing high-value 'sleeper' picks and Scottie Scheffler as the 2026 3M Open begins at TPC Twin Cities.

## Intelligence Brief
The 2026 3M Open is currently underway at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota, marking the PGA Tour's annual trip to the Twin Cities area. Coverage from 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS and the PGA Tour confirms that Scottie Scheffler is a headline figure in the field for this event. The tournament has entered its first round, with multiple outlets providing essential logistics for fans. This includes detailed tee times and leaderboard updates from Yahoo Sports, as well as comprehensive viewer's guides and TV coverage schedules provided by Golf Digest and CBS Sports to help audiences navigate Round 1 of the competition. Analysis from various sports media outlets is focusing heavily on predicting winners and identifying value plays.

The PGA Tour has specifically highlighted 'Sleeper Picks' for the event, noting that while Scottie Scheffler is a strong candidate to win, there is significant value to be found in the ball-striking abilities of Johnny Keefer. Simultaneously, SportsLine has featured a golf expert revealing specific picks for the 2026 tournament. Betting-centric coverage is also prominent, with Betfair's Dave Tindall offering tips for first-round leaders with odds reaching as high as 70/1, while Syracuse.com is reporting on PGA Polymarket prices and specific props related to Scheffler. Understanding the stakes of the 3M Open requires looking at the financial and competitive incentives involved in the PGA Tour stop. Yahoo Sports has published the specific prize money payout structures for each golfer participating in the event, emphasizing the economic impact of the tournament for the professional field.

The event serves as a critical point of competition where established stars like Scheffler face off against undervalued players, creating a dynamic that analysts use to determine 'Horses for Courses'—players whose specific game style suits the TPC Twin Cities layout. Looking forward, the immediate focus remains on the progression of the first-round leaderboard and the validation of sleeper predictions. Viewers are being directed toward free livestreams and official TV schedules, as mentioned by AL.com and GOLF.com, to track the early leaders. The subsequent rounds will determine if the high-odds picks suggested by Dave Tindall or the ball-striking value of Johnny Keefer translate into a top position on the leaderboard. All further updates will be tied to the ongoing performance of the field as they navigate the course in Minnesota.
