## Executive Summary
Norway's soccer president is filing a FIFA ethics complaint following Donald Trump's intervention to overturn a USMNT red card for Folarin Balogun.

## Intelligence Brief
The president of the Norwegian Football Association is preparing to file a formal ethics complaint with FIFA following a controversial ruling regarding the United States Men's National Team. This action stems from the overturning of a red card issued to player Folarin Balogun during the World Cup. According to coverage from The New York Times and The Guardian, the Norwegian FA is reacting to the role played by Donald Trump in the process of reversing the suspension. The situation has escalated into a diplomatic and sporting dispute as Norway seeks an official ethics review of the proceedings. Multiple major outlets are tracking the development, with The Daily Beast and the New York Post highlighting the specific nature of the ethics complaint.

ABC News & Headlines and the BBC report that Norway is considering or actively pursuing a formal complaint to FIFA over the saga. ESPN reports that the Norway FA chief is specifically demanding that FIFA President Gianni Infantino admit that an error occurred in the Folarin Balogun case. Meanwhile, TribLIVE.com and The Seattle Times emphasize that the direct involvement of Donald Trump in the ruling process is the primary catalyst for this move. To understand the stakes, the coverage establishes that Folarin Balogun was originally issued a red card, which would typically carry a suspension. However, this ruling was overturned after an appeal process that reportedly included intervention from Donald Trump.

The New York Daily News and The Times describe this as interference in a sporting matter. The Norwegian FA's reaction suggests a belief that the integrity of the World Cup's disciplinary process was compromised by external political pressure rather than being decided on purely athletic or regulatory grounds. Future developments will center on whether FIFA formally accepts the ethics complaint and how the organization responds to the allegations of political interference. Observers are watching for a statement from FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding the reported error in the Balogun case. As the Norwegian FA pushes for transparency, the focus remains on whether the red-card overturn will be reviewed again or if the influence of the Trump appeal will be officially documented in the FIFA ethics proceedings.
