## Intelligence Brief
Mary Kate Golding, a 34-year-old set decorator and designer known for her work on high-profile television series, has died following a stabbing incident. According to reports from the Queens Chronicle, the event took place in Astoria, where a man killed his wife and then himself. Other coverage from Lohud specifies that Golding was found dead in Queens and that her husband was also discovered deceased. The New York Post further detailed the timeline, stating that the mother was stabbed to death hours before her husband's body was discovered hanging in a nearby park, suggesting a possible murder-suicide scenario. Major entertainment and news outlets have focused on Golding's professional contributions to the television industry.

The Hollywood Reporter and USA Today identified her as a set decorator for 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' and 'Gotham.' People.com and Syracuse.com reported on the nature of the deaths, citing a source to describe the situation as a possible murder-suicide. Yahoo provided additional coverage detailing the brutal nature of the death of the set designer, while the Queens Chronicle described the incident as an Astoria horror. Context regarding Golding's career highlights her role as a hit TV show set designer, contributing to the visual aesthetic of popular series. The tragedy involves a domestic incident in a New York City neighborhood that has drawn attention from both local Queens publications and national media.

The connection between the two deaths is framed by the discovery of the husband's body in a park shortly after the stabbing of the wife, which led investigators and reporters to characterize the event as a domestic tragedy involving a husband and wife. Future developments will likely depend on the official confirmation of the cause of death and the formal classification of the case. While multiple reports from People.com and Yahoo label the event a possible murder-suicide, the coverage indicates that the bodies were found in separate locations—one at a primary scene and the husband hanging in a nearby park. Observers will be looking for further updates from New York City authorities regarding the specific sequence of events and any additional findings from the crime scene in Astoria.
