## Executive Summary
Satellite images and reports show a deepening energy crisis in Crimea following a wave of Ukrainian drone strikes.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent Ukrainian drone strikes targeting the power grid have triggered a deepening energy crisis and raised the risk of a full-scale humanitarian disaster in Crimea. The attacks have also impacted southern Russia, with authorities and reporting indicating multiple casualties, including fatalities and injuries, as strikes hit deep behind the front line. Coverage emphasizes the severe disruption to daily life on the peninsula, described by outlets as bringing darkness to the summer with shortages of electricity, water, and fuel.

Outlets tracking these developments include Reuters, The Moscow Times, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and Meduza, which published satellite imagery documenting the unfolding crisis. This escalation follows an ongoing pattern of long-range attacks traded between Ukraine and Russia far behind the active front lines. The targeting of essential infrastructure such as power grids has placed civilian populations at direct risk, amplifying the severity of the conflict.

Coverage does not yet specify upcoming military maneuvers or specific timelines for repair work on the damaged grid. Observers and readers will need to monitor subsequent reports from the cited outlets to track casualty updates, humanitarian conditions, and potential retaliatory actions.
