## Executive Summary
Amazon Games has officially pushed the release of Tomb Raider: Catalyst back to 2028, delaying the latest outing of Lara Croft.

## Intelligence Brief
The highly anticipated title Tomb Raider: Catalyst has been officially delayed until 2028. This confirmation comes directly from a boss at Amazon Games, according to reporting from IGN. The game, which features the iconic character Lara Croft, is moving its launch window deep into the next few years, as noted by various sources covering the industry shift. Coverage of this delay is widespread across several prominent gaming publications. IGN explicitly mentions the confirmation coming from an Amazon Games executive, while GameSpot describes the announcement as having happened quietly.

Other outlets including Insider Gaming, GameLuster, and TombRaiderChronicles have all corroborated the new 2028 release date. Push Square specifically highlights the stakes for console gamers, noting that this is Lara Croft's newest game intended for the PlayStation 5, meaning PS5 users will face a prolonged wait before the title becomes available on their hardware. This development is significant because it involves a major intellectual property being handled by Amazon Games. The shift to 2028 represents a substantial timeline extension for a flagship title. While the specific reasons for the delay were not detailed in the provided headlines, the fact that multiple outlets like GameSpot and Insider Gaming reported it simultaneously suggests a coordinated update regarding the production cycle of the game.

The focus remains on the transition of the release date and the official nature of the confirmation from the leadership at the studio. Looking forward, the industry will be monitoring Amazon Games for further updates regarding the development progress of Tomb Raider: Catalyst. Because the delay is now confirmed for 2028, any future milestones or gameplay reveals will be viewed through the lens of this extended timeline. Based on the current reports from IGN and other gaming news sites, the primary point of interest remains the confirmed 2028 window. There is currently no further information on whether this delay impacts other platforms beyond the PS5 or if additional project details will be shared before the new launch date.
