## Executive Summary
Pokemon Go players are reacting with disgust and fear after an official survey suggests a potential end to the 50 daily free Gym coins.

## Intelligence Brief
A surge of concern has gripped the Pokemon Go community following the release of an official survey. According to reports from OpenCritic and TheGamer, the survey contains questions that suggest the developers could be removing the ability for players to earn 50 daily Gym coins. This specific mechanic has long been a primary method for players to acquire in-game currency without spending real money. The potential change has led to a wave of negative reactions, with various reports describing fans as feeling disgusted by the prospect of losing this benefit. Coverage of the situation is widespread across gaming news outlets.

ComicBook.com reports that players are terrified that this move signals the end of the free-to-play experience as it currently exists. Similarly, GoNintendo has highlighted that the survey has left fans worried specifically about the future of Gyms and how they function within the game ecosystem. Mein-MMO also notes that the survey is currently letting trainers worry about the status of their coins, emphasizing that the community is reacting to the specific phrasing of the questions posed by the game's operators. The significance of this trend lies in the fundamental shift it could represent for the game's economy. For many users, the 50 daily coins provide a critical path to accessing items and features that would otherwise require financial expenditure.

By questioning the continuation of this feature, the survey has triggered fears that the game is moving away from its free-to-play roots. The community's reaction reflects a deeper anxiety regarding how the developers value the time and effort trainers spend interacting with Gyms to maintain their coin flow. Observers are now waiting to see if the survey results will lead to an actual change in game mechanics. Because the coverage centers on a survey rather than a formal announcement, the actual removal of the 50 daily coins has not been confirmed. The community will be monitoring future updates from the developers to see if the concerns voiced by fans and reported by outlets like TheGamer and ComicBook.com result in a reversal of the proposed changes or if a new currency system will be implemented to replace the current Gym coin structure.
