## Executive Summary
Hasbro is expanding its animated franchise with the announcement of 'My Little Pony: Forever Friendship,' set to debut on YouTube in 2027.

## Intelligence Brief
Hasbro has officially announced a new animated series titled 'My Little Pony: Forever Friendship.' According to reports from Variety and TheWrap, this new installment of the franchise is scheduled to launch in 2027. The series is described by Business Wire as a magical new fantasy series that will be available exclusively on YouTube. The announcement regarding this project took place during the events of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, as noted by comicsbeat.com, marking a strategic move by the company to utilize digital platforms for its latest content distribution. Multiple industry outlets are tracking the announcement, with Animation Magazine focusing on the series' status as a new animated production. Business Wire emphasizes the exclusivity of the YouTube platform for this specific release, while Variety and TheWrap highlight the 2027 timeline.

The consistency across these five sources confirms that Hasbro is leveraging its presence at SDCC '26 to introduce the project to a broad audience. The coverage emphasizes that 'Forever Friendship' is the primary title for this upcoming venture into the fantasy genre on the web. To understand why this matters, the project represents a specific distribution choice by Hasbro to move a major franchise title to an exclusive YouTube environment rather than traditional broadcast or streaming services. By unveiling the series at San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro is positioning the show within the larger community of animation and comic enthusiasts. This strategic alignment suggests a focus on digital accessibility and direct-to-consumer engagement through one of the world's largest video platforms, continuing the evolution of the 'My Little Pony' brand's media presence.

Looking forward, the coverage specifies that the series will premiere in early 2027. Stakeholders and audiences can expect further updates as the official launch date approaches. While the current reports from Animation Magazine, TheWrap, and Variety establish the platform and the year of release, they do not provide specific plot details or character rosters. Future updates will likely focus on the exact premiere date within the early 2027 window and any promotional materials released following the initial SDCC announcement.
