## Executive Summary
Kirk Cousins has been named the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders as they begin their training camp.

## Intelligence Brief
The Las Vegas Raiders have established their quarterback hierarchy heading into training camp, with Kirk Cousins designated as the starter. According to reports from NFL.com and Sportsnet.ca, Cousins will open the camp as the starting quarterback, denoted as QB1. Head coach Klint Kubiak has confirmed this decision, stating that Cousins is expected to receive a ton of reps during the initial phase of the team's preparations. This positioning puts Cousins at the forefront of the offensive operation as the team begins its formal summer regimen. Coverage from NBC Sports and ESPN emphasizes the competitive nature of the depth chart despite Cousins' starting status.

Head coach Klint Kubiak has explicitly called upon Fernando Mendoza and Aidan O'Connell to push Cousins for the position. The reporting from these outlets highlights that while Cousins holds the primary spot, the team expects a high level of competition from the other quarterbacks. The focus across these sports news organizations is the dynamic between the veteran starter and the challenging presence of the backup players during the camp period. To understand the current stakes, it is necessary to note the roles of the players involved. Kirk Cousins enters the camp as the established QB1, while Fernando Mendoza and Aidan O'Connell are positioned to compete for playing time and the potential to displace the starter.

The decision by Klint Kubiak to grant Cousins a significant volume of repetitions suggests a strategy of prioritizing the starter's integration into the system, while simultaneously encouraging the understudies to elevate their performance to create a competitive environment. Looking ahead, the focus remains on the actual execution of these reps during the Raiders' training camp. Observers will be watching to see if Fernando Mendoza and Aidan O'Connell can successfully push Cousins as directed by Klint Kubiak. Based on the statements provided by NFL.com and NBC Sports, the primary development to track is the distribution of snaps and whether the initial designation of Cousins as the starter remains unchallenged throughout the duration of the camp activities.
