## Executive Summary
The classic DSiWare RPG Zenonia is returning to modern platforms with a remaster for Nintendo Switch and a launch on Steam.

## Intelligence Brief
A remaster of the role-playing game Zenonia, originally released as a DSiWare title, is being developed for the Nintendo Switch. This brings the game back to Nintendo's ecosystem after its initial run on the Nintendo DS hardware. According to reports, the title is making a comeback to allow a new generation of players to experience the RPG on current hardware. Simultaneously, the game is expanding its reach beyond Nintendo platforms, as it has been confirmed for a release on the Steam digital storefront. Coverage of this development is being led by several gaming news outlets.

Nintendo Everything specifically highlights that the game is returning as a DSiWare title making a comeback on the Switch. GoNintendo confirms that the remaster is currently in the works for the Switch console. Additionally, comicbook.com reports on the announcement of the Nintendo DS RPG remaster, while Netto's Game Room provides specific details regarding the PC version of the title, stating that Zenonia launches on Steam on August 31st. The context for this trend centers on the migration of legacy DSiWare content to modern platforms. Because Zenonia was originally a title for the Nintendo DS, the remaster represents a technical update to the original experience to fit the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch.

This movement allows a title from an older handheld generation to be preserved and accessed on a modern hybrid console. The simultaneous move to Steam indicates a broader strategy to bring the RPG to the PC gaming market. Looking forward, the most immediate milestone is the August 31st launch date for Zenonia on Steam. While the Steam release has a concrete date, coverage does not yet specify a precise release date for the Nintendo Switch remaster, only that it is announced and in the works. Observers will likely look for further updates regarding the specific features of the remaster or a confirmed launch window for the Switch version to align with the PC release.
