Multiple major news outlets are tracking the specifics of this decision.

CNBC reports that Trump canceled the planned attack after reaching an agreement regarding the 'perimeters of a deal'. The Financial Times provides additional context, noting that Donald Trump's decision to halt the strikes followed requests from Middle East allies. Al Jazeera is currently analyzing the motivations behind the halt and the specific nature of the deal that Trump has been hinting at in his public statements and official communications. The context provided by the coverage suggests a high level of regional tension where military action was imminent. The involvement of Middle East allies, as cited by the Financial Times, indicates that the decision was not made in isolation but was influenced by regional diplomatic pressures and the desire to avoid further escalation.

The mention of 'perimeters of a deal' by CNBC suggests that the framework for a ceasefire or agreement is already being discussed. Future developments will center on whether a formal, rapid deal is finalized as suggested by The New York Times.
