## Executive Summary
Koei Tecmo has officially set a December 10, 2026, release date for Attack on Titan 3, targeting the PS5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

## Intelligence Brief
Koei Tecmo has announced that Attack on Titan 3 will officially launch on December 10, 2026. The game is positioned as a cinematic experience featuring what is described as the final titan showdown. According to reports from Nintendo Life and Nintendo Everything, the title is confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2, while coverage from Push Square and Yahoo confirms its availability on the PlayStation 5. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a new trailer, as noted by Game Informer and Anime News Network, which further detailed the upcoming release. Multiple gaming outlets are emphasizing the strategic timing of this launch. Gematsu and Games Press have focused on the locked-in date of December 10, while Crunchyroll and Anime News Network are highlighting the game's tie-in with the broader franchise.

Notably, coverage from Polygon and Push Square highlights a specific industry trend, suggesting that the scheduling of Attack on Titan 3 is a deliberate move to avoid the anticipated market chaos and competition surrounding the release of GTA 6. This positioning is framed as the game getting out of the way of the massive Rockstar title. The context surrounding this release is significant due to the hardware platforms involved. The mention of the Nintendo Switch 2 by Nintendo Life suggests a high-profile entry for the new hardware. This is occurring alongside a crowded autumn gaming calendar; for example, Polygon.com and GamesBeat report that the gothic action-RPG Crimson Moon is set to launch September 1 for $20 on PC and consoles, including the PS5, as detailed by PlayStation.Blog and gematsu.com. These coinciding releases illustrate the dense competition for consumer attention across the final quarter of 2026.

Looking forward, observers will be watching for further details on the Nintendo Switch 2 as the December launch date approaches. Future coverage is expected to focus on the contents of the new trailer and any additional gameplay reveals provided by Koei Tecmo. While the release date for Attack on Titan 3 is now firm, the industry remains focused on how it will navigate the release window alongside other major titles. No further pricing or specific platform bundles have been detailed in the current coverage beyond the confirmation of the PS5 and Switch 2 versions.
