In a series of candid statements and a post-divorce conversation, Xo addressed the affair and the resulting emotional distress. According to coverage from Us Weekly, Xo described the experience as a 'different kind of hurt' and specifically referenced 'betrayal trauma' associated with the event. Billboard reports that Xo has stated she will 'never' get married again following the split from Jelly Roll. Additionally, MLive.com emphasizes a specific point made by the country star's ex-wife, noting that she considers the lies surrounding the affair to be a more significant issue than the infidelity itself. The context of this trend centers on the public dissolution of a high-profile relationship within the country music sphere. The terminology used by Xo, such as 'betrayal trauma,' suggests a deep psychological impact resulting from the breach of trust in her marriage. The coverage highlights a transition from the private reality of their separation to a public accounting of the events that led to the finalization of the divorce. This transparency regarding the 'lies' and the 'betrayal' provides the public framework for why the relationship reached a point of permanent failure.

Future developments will likely center on Xo's continued reflections on her personal growth and her firm stance against future marriage. Based on the reports from Billboard and Us Weekly, the focus remains on her recovery from the emotional trauma. Coverage does not yet specify if Jelly Roll will issue a formal response to the specific claims regarding the lies and betrayal mentioned in Xo's statements.
